If this video was a sandwich, it would have the crunchiest bread and a good sauce but the salad would be soggy and the ham would be burnt (somehow??). You are more than allowed to believe anything but at some point it stops feeling like analysis and starts to become religious belief projection. This is not an attack on religion or religious beliefs. It sometimes feels like Jesus and the bible are being shoved into the script for no reason. There's no 31:30 "clear cut refrence to real world religious traditions and beliefs" in anything you've shown besides one single music named hell, I don't think having the word hell written once as an easter egg in a hidden part of the game is enough to be a "clear cut refrence to real religious traditions and beliefs", especially the word hell that is rooted in religion yes, but has become a very self contained concept today. You can have a hell in a world of fiction without it being a religious place or based on real religion. For example Minecraft has the nether. It's a hell but it's just realm with a lot of lava, there's not eternal damnation or punishment. The game doesn't even have a heaven that opposes it. Not even the fiery forest that you interpreted as hell is clear cut. It could just be the aftermath of the entity's rampage. Being stuck doesn't necessarily mean it's "eternal damnation". It could be interpreted as you are stuck and can't move on because the rampage already took place therefore there is nothing to save therefore there is no reason to continue, it's the worst ending. If it was the binding of Isaac or something similar with ACTUAL "clear cut refrences to religious traditions and beliefs" I would understand the religious talk and theological interpretations of texts and dialogue but in this super mario rom hack ? It feels very out of subject. The whole "it's a cult" analysis is fine and I like your idea of a fourth character who is semi involved into the story in the form of the witness, even if it stands on very light evidence but yet again, this rom hack has practically nothing to work with so it's a good try and you can imagine anything about it with such a small amount of context clues but I have to adress the whole christianity part. 30:27 "the trumpets are likely blown from angels from above" is this a religious music that you know of that has been distorted maybe ? There is no good ending in the game, so is the angel bad at their job and fail to help Mario defeat the thing ? If an evil ruler hype themselves up that doesn't necessarily mean they are defying god. That just mean they are confident or full of themselve. 53:29 "Trying to deny Jesus divinity might be way to corrupt Mario" Mario is not christian, you can't really corrupt nonexistent beliefs. A really good try but your analysis got out of hand and started to derail into theology for no reason in my opinion.

You know, body Horror can work. Saw is a proof of that. The problem is that Urban spook is overly edgy in pretence, too formulaic in excecution, and isn't clear if it takes itself too seriously with the imagery, or not seriously enough to care to have an actual story going on.
